This page explains what you will see in the steamers/drifters tab and gives you details about its functions View the steamers/drifters video What are steamers and drifters ? A Steamer is a horse whose odds shorten significantly in the pre-race betting. A Drifter is one whose odds lengthen significantly in the pre-race betting. Some people believe that it can increase your potential for profit dramatically by analysing the price changes pre race, in fact.. in 2005 betfair did some research analysing 65,000 races When Betfair analysed the results, they found that 19% of Drifters went on to win their races as did 22% of Steamers. Most importantly, if £10 had been placed on all the horses, £3,000 would have been lost on the Steamers and £2,000 would have been won on the Drifters. In other words, contrary to common sense, it would have been financially better to have layed the Steamers to lose and backed the Drifters to win. We thought that this process could be a winning idea to put into the bot and have found it very useful. The way GHB does this is by working on a percentage decrease or increase dependant on which side of the market you are looking at  Tells the GHB to monitor the market and track the steamers and drifters  This sets the amount of seconds before the race begins that GHB will begin checking the prices in the market Please note: You can use negative to track steamers/drifters in play  This tells the GHB to look for a price coming in based on the percentage you have set  This tells the GHB to look for a price going out based on the percentage you have set  This tells the GHB which operation mode to run the steamers and drifters conditions All - Will allow the bot to monitor and bet on all of the steamers and/or drifters that fall into your criteria Best - Will simply select the runner whos price has moved the most Worst - Will simply select the runners whos price has moved the least |

Will Steamers and drifters work in conjuction with my rank settings? A. Yes if you have ranked runners selected the bot will apply your steamers/drifters settings to them.
