Description |
This page explains what you see on the main options screen along and gives you details about its functions This will show the betfair username you are currently using with GHB  This dropdown menu allows you to select the markets you wish to load in the add market screen  This dropdown menu controls the amount of hits per second that the GHB can make to the betfair API in both seconds, minutes and hours. This works with the counter on the main screen and is a measure to counteract the charge betfair have recently introduced for data calls. The limit betfair have set for this is 20 per second. Although the majority of general GHB functions remain within the limit some of the more complicated features such as trading in play have shown to go over this limit .  Please Note: If you are using multiple bots on one betfair account you will need to calculate the max usage per bot and limit accordingly These boxes allows you to select the mode you wish to run the bot in Live Trading = Real live bets on the betfair markets you have loaded Paper Trading = Test bets , this means that you can check your strategies and selections without risking your bank Note Betfair no longer support paper trading so be carful with this. (Will be updating the bot soon to add betfair back up server). |

Options screen FAQQ. My user name no longer appears in the user name box, why is this?A. Due to a change in betfair terms and conditions we are now no longer allowed to store your username in the bot, we have added a "remember me" tick box on the login screen that will allow you to save this information. Q. Will I be able to get an idea of my profit or loss in paper trading mode? A. In the latest version of the bot yes you can obtain PL for paper trading bets. Please note that this cannot be 100% accurate and is mainly intended for UK horse racing win markets because the bot relies on the price at suspension to predict the winner, and thus settle the PL. Due to the lack of inplay stream on the greyhounds and many international horse racing markets this makes it harder to predict the correct winner. Q. How can I find out more about betfairs API usage charging scheme? A.
