Is it funny how companies leave you alone until you "Switch".

I decided to go to Octopus Energy because I like some of their tariffs, and they seem to have great support if you need it.

Not more than 10 mins after clicking the "change" button I started getting emails and offers from the two companies (Electricity and Gas).

I had made up my mind and received a £50 credit from Octopus by using a friend's link.

Hi there.

I had another "False Favourite" winner yesterday.

I am trying to work out a way that I can share them with everyone because, at the moment, I am a little haphazard on how and when I select them.

So I started writing a piece of software yesterday that can do some of the groundwork.

I wanted to leave out AI for a bit while I really worked out the best way to choose the selections.

The software looks at all the runners in the race and then creates a strength reading for the favourite and the other runners.

This helps me identify if the favourite could be a false favourite.

Interestingly, I got this part working yesterday after I had selected Benmore in the 13:37 Southwell.

Benmore fell at the last, but had already been beaten by "Daytime Dreaming" but to be honest, I may not have been so quick to lay him after I created the software.

My choice would have probably been "Madara" in the 15:07 Kemp.

He lost as well, but although he was the favourite in the morning, he went off second favourite.

The thing I like about the software is that it shows me how competitive the race could be.

You could use the Scoring Power Tool to do this kind of thing as well.
