If you are reading this you may be a fan of "Lay" systems or you may hate them or don't really care one way or the other (I think that covers everything :-).
If you have tried one in the past you know that they are never the easiest systems to follow.
The problem is that one or two losers (depending on price) can knock you back a bit and it becomes difficult to see your way back to profit...
...or it needs a lot of patience.
One I started about 10 days ago went straight down almost -15 points before recovering and getting back up to 20+ points.
Once you have a couple of losses it is easy to lose faith in a lay system and often that is where many people end up losing out.
Don't get me wrong I don't think you should ever follow a system if you are getting uncomfortable...
...My question would be...
...Why are your stakes high enough to make you uncomfortable?
Most lay systems do not warrant you using any more than 1% of your bank and I would argue less in some cases.
If you come across a lay method or follow someone's the first step is to paper trade it...
...or lay, at the lowest stakes you possibly can, no matter how big your bank is.
Going back to my system I low traded 100 selections over 10 days.
After checking all the stats it was time to try again.
It was doing well until a 7.20 loser yesterday...
I will let you know how that ends up!
