...On a strong favourite...but not what you think...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
It's Friday!
I am not really sure what's going on this weekend yet because I am waiting to hear about Mum coming out of the hospital.
No one seems to know anything at the moment and going to the hospital she is in or going to her house are two different plans :-)

Morning!
I have had a little of an up and down week on the "Place" selections I have been adding to the FB Group and on the Discord Server.
I have had some clean sweeps, but my (*) selection hasn't quite been up to normal.
Win, Loss, Win, Loss.
I have also had a go at picking "Place" lays, which didn't go very well at all.
Then, yesterday, I decided to just concentrate on the main win market to find place selections to lay.
One that I picked was:
14:30 Plump Blacksamssenorita who went off at around 1.4.
You kind of think with these, they are going to probably win, but I took a couple of notes down that did put some doubts into it being a clear-cut thing.
In the end, he came 2nd, so my first Lay win, which is always nice when the liability is a lot lower.
The second lay selection I had was:
15:40 Plump Leading Swoop who actually went off above 2.00, which made him a "No bet"
I had him down for a place, but again, I didn't think he would win, and he ended up 3rd.
I suppose it makes sense to switch tactics from the "Place" market to the "Win" market when selecting lays...
...Because you can still find runners that are trading under 2.00 that have to win the race, not just place.
Although I wish I had done better on my Place (*) selections, I have had plenty of winners this week at lower prices.
