...To lose...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
It's Friday!
I am thinking of having a lunchtime climb today for an hour so I can go out with some mates tonight.
They have a Retro Computer evening at the maker space.
It's not really my cup of tea, but it's the only chance I get to meet up with them sometimes :-)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Morning!
I had another idea for AW (all weather) "place/Lay" method.
I want to call it a "method" rather than a system because it probably still has some work to make it better...
...And you may want to think a little about the market, place payouts and that sort of thing.
The results are based on standard bookie payouts:
1 β 4 runners No Places β Win Only bet (betfair could have a place market)
5 β 7 runners 1st & 2nd place only
8+ runners 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
16+ runners (handicapped races only) 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place
Betfair do not change place payouts for non-runners, so you need to be a bit careful.
So far, the strike looks around 74% with an average losing price of 1.62 (0.62 if -1).
Longest losing run so far has been 3, but you know that means nothing.
I have done a small amount of filtering to get the list, which I started posting on FB and Discord yesterday.
Let's see how they perform over the next few days (or when there are AW meetings).
I am always nervous about "lay" methods but because it is "Place", the liabilities tend to be lower.
If you can find one of these a day and make a 1-point profit (0.98), then that could be interesting.
Just so you know, so far I have only improved these a little.
Just remember, there will be losers, and this is a test!
...
My Wednesday BTTS choice won.
One member had put a £10 Trixie/Treble on my 3 selections that would have paid out £15,000 if it had won.
I had 2 out of 3 :-(
Interestingly, I have had full winning days and you only need one of those to come in and "Happy Days".
If you'd like to find out how I find my daily BTTS selections, then check out the BTTS strategy guide here.
