...But sometimes it's how you find out...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
It's Friday!
I really need to get out into some fresh air this weekend.
I feel like I have been sitting on my seat for too many hours...
...But that's what you get for working on new programming projects:-)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Morning!
We all know that although paper trading can give us a good idea of the profit of a system...
...We really need to go live to get a really good feel for what is going to happen.
I am not saying you have to go out and start putting major cash down...
...just enough to understand what happens and how you feel about the live bets.
I have mentioned Mark's system quite a few times and yesterday it had a loser at 8.00...
https://youtu.be/STGglJ_mOVI
...Then won on the next at 5.00 but because of my split by 3 recovery, this was at £6.33.
The next bet was £6.33 at 9.80 that's a lot of liability!
Yeah, even though the bot is controlling all this you still get a bit nervous when you see it happen.
Luckily that won as well :-)
If you just paper trade you don't get the feel for how you really feel about losing and winning.
As you may recall I have been collecting Football data not only from my feed but by live betting on a lot of matches as well.
After analysing these matches I came up with a couple of ideas but I want to test them in another way as well.
Up to now, I have been placing batches of bets, 5 to 10 at a time.
This has allowed me to gather a lot of information fairly quickly...
...But is that really the way we bet?
We normally pick one match at a time and then wait for the result and then go to the next one.
One by one.
So that has been my next stage of the testing one match at a time.
It also gives me the chance to look at different staking ideas.
At the moment I am taking 5% of my winnings and adding them to my next stake...
...But of course, we have to deal with the losers as well.
I tend to do one morning game, one midday and one afternoon/evening match.
So around 3 a day.
How would you do it?
Let me know.
