As it is Saturday, I will make this quick.

As you know, I have been following the Betfair/Timeform 123 selections for the last few months.

Well, I have another user's perspective on them/

The time form ratings on Betfair are very good as a pointer to form when used with the rest of the information on the Betfair card.

Timeform's ratings give the horses best suited on form, class and expected performance, not today's conditions.

A good way to filter the time form selections is to expand the top 3 horses and look at the in-play odds compression from their recent races compared to today's conditions, from this you can see if a horse ran constant to its bsp or compressed and dobbed or trobbed at all in its previous races, looking at the compression for today's going ( if it is there) you can see if a horse ran a good race in today's conditions.

If you see no huge swing from bsp indicated by In play hi/low.  if the odds shot up horse slow away, odds fall dramatically fast out, as time form is not a speed rating on betfair you want to see how a horse ran at its starting price when the race went in play so look for - /as this means the horse ran steady to its bsp from the off, this is then  followed by the low figure, the odds to which the horse dropped to in play. , if you look at the finishing position when this occurs( - /) you can see when a horse ran a good race, as it was solid to its bsp when the race went in play. 

So if the horse has been running well, and has a good race in today's going, it gives more weight to Timeform's choice.

Timeform on betfair is basically a guide to say if this horse was running purely on its expected performance it will be a good bet, it's up to us to see if the horses expected performance can be achieved in today's conditions, time form is already telling you it's good in this class and it's general form is good so that's excellent, so use it only as a guide to your normal checks but always look for the extra information on the betfair card.
