...I am not sure but it was a win...

Morning!
Betfair often has an extra "place" market on many of their races where you can get a "4 place" payout.
I know bookies like 365 have those as well...
...But they are a bookie and they don't like you winning.
That said on these markets if you are on the favourite it is not going to be a big payout anyway.
Yesterday I did several in a row mostly at 1.05 to 1.0.
I know there are no guarantees these will win but I am trying to get an idea of the strike rate.
Betfair only give results on the Normall "Place" payout so to get their TBP 4 markets your only choice is to bet on the markets and record the results.
Well or write them down as you see them.
Why would I bother with a market that pays out so little?
Well, I am trying to follow David's (Fb Group) selections when I can but just going on the highest "Place" market that is available.
It saved me yesterday on "Malinka" when there was normally only a 2TBP market for this race...
...But Betfair had a 3 TBP market and this strong favourite did not run so well, but still managed 3rd phew!
Not sure doing this will make any real money in the long term but thought it may be worth a try.
Just so you know, I am still messing with the football idea.
Actually I am doing more than that and placing quite regular bets now.
Most days I trade 3 to 5 matches and have been doing quite well.
I am still struggling with whether to trade or bet but testing both to see how it goes.
A match I was on yesterday went right against me until the last few minutes when 2 goals were scored.
That match I kept with and although it played out in the end I think I should have traded out much earlier.
In fact, most of the time I am out of the markets by half-time one way or the other.
More on this soon.
