...Dutch stuff...

They thought the car issue would be an expensive fix, but another mechanic noticed a sensor wasn't working correctly, making it much cheaper.
The dog is sewn up and looking good today.
Now may get some time to have a play :-)

Morning!
It's Saturday, so I won't keep up long.
First thing, I uploaded a new version of the HA bot yesterday.
Updated the country filters to be more useful.
Added "Time before the start" so you can wait until just before the match starts, making the prices and matched money more relevant.
Also improved the recovery system so it doesn't use P/L now.

Ok, Dutch Stuff.
A question in the FB group got me thinking I may want to explain this a little.
Well, quickly today.
When I say something like "I won 46%"...
...I mean...
Take a 1 point stake, so if it is £1, you would make 46% or 46p.
When you Dutch, you are also making your chance of winning higher.
If we see a runner with a price of 3.74 ,we know if we do the calculation 100/ 3.74...
...We have a 26% chance of winning.
So if we add 3 runners with the prices of 3.70, 7.60 and 9.20
100/3.70 = 27%
100/7.60 = 13%
100/9.20 = 11%
We have a combined chance of winning of approximately 51%.
The more runners we add, the higher our chances of winning.
But because we are covering more runners, the profit that we could win will go down.
Normally (unless you are using all outsiders) you can get a reasonable Dutch on 3 to 4 runners.
When I say reasonable, I mean 50% of your stake...
...But if you don't mind going lower, you can cover more or stronger runners, increasing your chances of winning.
I put the prompt I am using for my Dutch bets at the moment in the AI Course.

Have a great weekend :-)
Until Next time
