🐎👉 Dutch or Accumulate...

...Across multiple markets...

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to Maker Space last night and the Laser cutter stopped working.

It looked like the laser Tube had gone but it is not the easiest thing to test.

We did have the old one somewhere, but as always no one had a clue where it was :-)

Morning!

Often when we think about Dutching as selecting a number of runners in a race...

...But there are other ways you can do Dutch betting as well, like across a football match.

You could Dutch between different football markets.

So you could Dutch between the Correct Score Market and say one of the "over X" goal markets.

Of course, you have to be a little confident in your selections and get the right prices to create a profitable Dutch.

Horse racing is generally easy because even with an under 2.00 favourite you can still often make a profitable Dutch (I do this on Maidens all the time) on the top 3 sometimes 4.

If not a Dutch, then you could think about doing some kind of "Accumulator" where you take your winnings and add them to the next bet.

Generally, people use a 2, 3 or 4 race/match accumulator.

Let's say you pick 3 favourites that are odds on and you believe they have a good chance of winning.

It could look like this.

Bet 1. 1 point @ a price of 1.89. Win 0.86 (after commission)

Bet 2. 1.86 points @ a price of 1.89. Win 1.57 (after commission)

Bet 3. 2.43 points @  a price of 1.89. Win 2.05
(after commission)

Total winnings 0.86 + 1.57 + 2.05 = 4.48

Not a bad return for 3 "odds on" bets and a start stake of just 1 point.

Of course, there is a bit of a Skill in picking the correct bets, but as I said you could do it across multiple Markets.

Your only risk is your original 1 point.

You could choose a strong Favourite in the horse racing market, a football team you think has a good chance of winning and even a tennis match you like the look of.

That way instead of just hoping 3 favourites will win in horse racing...

...You can be more picky which markets you choose.

There is no reason why you couldn't run this over several days as well.

I know bookies offer this kind of bet...

...But I wonder if it would be better on Betfair where you have a lot of markets to choose from.

I am thinking of putting something together for this that doesn't just cover normal "back" bets.

Let me know if you would be interested in the idea
