 We are planning a long walk today with a couple of the dogs.

The Ridgeway looks inviting, but we may go the Avebury end and take in the history.

Always like to walk around the stones and think about that poor barber (buried under a stone) :-)

As it is Saturday, I won't keep you long.

A little bit of an upset in the Cheltenham Gold Cup yesterday with "Inothewayurthinkin" winning from "Galopin Des Champs" who was the odds on favourite.

It was a pretty decent race where you thought Galopin had it in the bag...

...until the winner made a great jump and just went off and won it easily.

He was mentioned in the AI report as a place :-)

I did have the winner down as a place selection and at a much better price than Galopin.

These kinds of races are a little hard to predict and even though Galopin looked great on paper, I think at the price it wouldn't have been worth the risk.

It's not that I am against backing strong favourites but you need to be quite brave to back them in a race over 3 miles with a highly sort after title like the Gold Cup.

Anyway that's Cheltenham over for another year :-)
