...It doesn't seem to hurt...

I started building my new weather station last night at "maker space".
I like this kind of project that includes 3D printing, Electronics, Programming and some DIY all wrapped into one.
A little maths thrown in for good measure as well :-)

Hi there
Yesterday I was looking at the Pace Ratings rank that you can get in PR Ratings or TTS.
I was testing to see if it could help me with selecting runners to use in a "Dutch".
Interestingly, after some research, I found it was quite useful...
...so I thought I would put it to the test in the 15:05 Royal Ascot.
This was an 11-runner race with "Galiyan" as the favourite.
My Top 5 Pace ratings were.
Limestone
Mr Colonel
Del Maro
Magnetude
Ranga Tang
Apart from "Limestone", all the rest were outsiders, so the "Dutch" returned 2/1.
It ended up a pretty close finish between "Limestone" and "Del Maro", with the former winning.
I tried the same in the 15:25 Hamilton and the 3rd favourite "Solar Aclaim" with a pace rank of 1...Won.
Certainly going to look at this a little more.

I also had "Blue Bolt" in the 15:50 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes as a Pace Rank of 1.
Until Next time
