It's Friday.

Another busy weekend for me, visiting friends and family.

I hope the weather cheers up a little :-)

Yesterday I told you about the new trial I had started.

Exeter was the only meeting yesterday and I have to admit the weather was not good.

I still took on the selection in the first race, which was a lay winner...

...But I was starting to think that it was just crazy betting on those races.

By 14:30, the rain was pouring, visibility was low and the course was just waterlogged in places.

Our selection, "Saint Cyr De Pail", had gone from 3.90 to 5.20, so it was getting expensive.

Although this is a system and we should follow it "no matter what"...

...I just couldn't bring myself to enter the race.

"Saint Cyr De Pail" ended up winning by quite a long way after he and one other horse took off.

The other horse fell (Exhausted by the looks of it)...

...leaving "Saint Cyr De Pail" to win easily.

What I did doesn't change the results of the system...

...But it did save me some money!

The meeting was abandoned after that race, so we didn't even get a chance to make some of the losses back.
