...But maybe I should have "Placed"...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Yuk, I have a cold.
One thing I detest more than anything is having a cold.
It seems that I picked one up over the weekend.
Anyway, filling myself up with vitamins and getting a few early nights should sort me out :-)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Morning!
I don't normally bet at the weekends because I like to get "Away from it all".
Anyway, I wasn't feeling 100% and I was testing some software so I decided to look at a race.
15:10 Hereford.
This is the roundup I got.
"Verdict & Confidence Rating:
Predicted Winner: Star Of Guiting – His proven form and experience give him a slight edge in this competitive field.
Predicted Placers: Laughing John and Le Soleil Reve – Both are expected to improve from their debut runs and should be in the mix for the placings.
Dark Horse to Watch: Mad Maxios – As a newcomer from a reputable stable, any significant market support should be noted, as it may indicate readiness to perform above initial expectations.
Confidence Level: 7/10
Final Verdict:
While Laughing John is favoured in the betting, Star Of Guiting's consistent performances and experience make him the selection to win. Anticipate a closely contested race, with Laughing John and Le Soleil Reve providing stiff competition, and Mad Maxios being the unknown quantity that could surprise if well-supported in the market."
3 minutes before the race Laughing John was the favourite but then Star of Guilding steamed and became a favourite (Something to note).
I wanted to go without Laughing John as the favourite at the time so I managed to Dutch:
Star Of Guiting
Mad Maxios
Le Soleil Reve
For a profit of 54%
Although Laughing John took off quickly he couldn't keep the lead and was joined by the others...
...and after fighting for the lead with Star Of Guiting they were both beaten by Le Soleil Reve.
It was only a 2-place race so although I could have got a similar profit, I decided to go with the Dutch where I had three chances to win instead of two.
By the way...
"Predicted Placers: Laughing John and Le Soleil Reve – Both are expected to improve from their debut runs and should be in the mix for the placings."
...was spot on (1.99 & 3.66) so maybe I did choose wrong!
What would you have chosen?
