...More Profit...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I went through a stage of suffering from High blood pressure and my doctor immediately offered me tablets.
The stats show that you have to be careful with this problem...
...But my argument against the tablets was that I was only a bit over my ideal weight, I didn't smoke or have diabetes and I exercised.
I said, "Give me 3 months and then we will look again".
All it needed was a little more weight loss and a bit of diet change.
All green again now :-)

Morning!
It's always interesting to see how you can create systems from just a few ideas.
Everyone knows you can't make a profit backing all favourites...
...But there are always pockets that you can tap into.
If we looked at favourites on the Flat (last couple of seasons), we would see...
Strike rate 33.44%, 17 Longest Losing run, 2.05 Average winning odds.
If we looked at Non Handicap favourites on the Flat, we would see.
Strike rate 39.34%, 12 Longest Losing run, 1.47 Average winning odds. -97.73 profit
So what about Handicap favourites on the Flat?
Strike rate 30.40%, 23 Longest Losing run, 2.43 Average winning odds. 21.14 profit
Even though the strike rate is a lot less with Handicap races, the average price is higher, which helped make a profit.
If you also take Forecast favourites that were 1st LTO running in Handicap races, you get...
Strike rate 37.44%, 11 Longest Losing run, 1.94 Average winning odds. 40.34 profit.
These are just ideas you can play around with.
I always think you should analyse Race Types on their own...
...But in this case, if you check all race types (AWF, Chase, Hurdle, etc), they all make a profit.
Stats: Strike rate 39.27%, 15 Longest Losing run, 1.78 Average winning odds. 116.08 profit.
Also, check the profit on the place market.
Easy to do with PR Ratings.
