...Maybe a Half Dob.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We really need to get our heating replaced this year.
We have an old Baxi Boiler and it really is "Old"!
I have been looking at heat pumps, especially as they have a massive grant.
Still not sure what the alternative is:-)

Hi there.
So yesterday I had a go at some Dobs (Double or bust) but wasn't very successful.
Double or bust means you try to win back the equivalent of your whole stake.
This means the price has to drop by half in-play...
...Or you lose (Bust).
I was close on the first, not so close on the second but both would have paid me half of my stake.
So the 3rd one I went for 50% and won that.
All I was doing really was looking at the Y/C rating on TTS (or any other of my ratings) and taking the top ones and deciding from there.
In fact, in the 14:02, Chepstow, "West to the bridge" had one of the highest scores, but at its age, I decided to go for "High Tea".
West to the bridge had an amazing run and just got his head back in front to win the race.
So if I have another go today, I am going for 50%, not 100% of my stake :-)

Oh yeah, my "False Favourite" did lose the race.
Football...
I probably had my worst day on Monday with the FHG/LTD selections with 3 matches ending in a draw.
Strangely, they all had a goal in the first half, so if you were following that idea, it was a good day!
I do analyse these selections a lot and have been running a new prompt for a while to see how that performs against my current one.
It didn't have the losers on Monday and overall, I think it is doing a better job than the original...
...so I do intend to introduce it shortly.
The idea is not just completely change the prompt, but to tell it what hasn't been working and use that to improve the selection process.
I have even been experimenting with showing it the results each day so it can build up its own ideas about what is and what isn't working.
The problem you can have with this idea is that everything eventually gets filtered!
Anyway, I will keep you informed about what is going on.
