January is finally over.

I don't like wishing the months away, but it's good to start working our way towards spring.

Just having a bit longer days helps the mood, and yesterday my shed solar was really putting out the watts :-)

Hi there.

It's Saturday, so I will make this quick.

I was back into winning ways yesterday with my FB "False Favourite" falling in the race.

I didn't see the race, so I don't know if it was bad or not but hopefully it wasn't.

Winning is winning, but I like to win because the selection really wasn't running how punters thought it was going to.

It's an interesting point as well.

Often, you see a horse that didn't finish a race and it is worth investigating a little further.

A horse "pulled up" is different to a horse falling or a horse unseating its rider.

I don't like horses that have been "pulled up", and I generally think it is not a good sign.

You could argue that a horse that fell just couldn't hack it...

...but it could have just been unlucky or ill-timed, as an unseated rider could be.

Often, a horse will come back from a non-finish run, so you may want to consider that when using it as a reason to go against the horse winning :-)
